Back the Pub
Everards will be joining forces with the Campaign for Real Ale and the British Beer and Pub Association once again, to show our support for the “Back the Pub-Give Beer A Break” campaign.
It’s been nearly 12 months since the Government imposed an 8% increase on beer duty and with VAT returning to 17.5% as of the 1st of January 2010 we’re asking for your support to urge the Chancellor to reduce beer duty ahead of next year’s VAT increase.
The ‘Back the Pub-Give Beer A Break’ campaign brings together everyone who has an interest in supporting and promoting the Great British Pub. More than somewhere to have a quiet pint, pubs play a vital role in the economic and social wellbeing of communities up and down Britain.
