CAMRA - The Campaign for Real Ale

The Campaign for Real Ale is a voluntary organisation that promotes good quality real ale and real pubs alongside acting as the consumers champion with regards to the drinks industry.

CAMRA produce a number of publications, including the popular Good Beer Guide. They run the Great British Beer Festival in London and present the Champion Beer of Britain and Pub of the Year awards on a national scale.

Local CAMRA groups produce their own guides and run local beer festivals around the country. The 180 local branches present ‘pub of the month’ awards to licensees to reward good practice and high standards – an award scheme that leads to nominations for the national Pub of the Year.

Here at Everards we work with CAMRA on various initiatives including the recent ‘Cyclops’ tasting notes.

On a local level, we are involved with many CAMRA beer festivals and have worked with CAMRA to introduce the Everards and CAMRA Complimentary Club – a free club for East Midlands CAMRA Members offering a range of promotions throughout the year.
