Southgate 2.7% ABV
Southgate Bitter has been crafted to deliver a full, flavoursome beer at 2.7% abv. Careful consideration has been taken to the brewing techniques and ingredients to ensure that whilst the beer is a lower strength, the flavours are prominent and the pint is very moreish. The high quality ingredients include three types of malt and Challenger, Cascade and Styrian Goldings hops and these have been specially selected to deliver the traditional bitter and hop character that you would expect from a cask ale, balanced with a sweet finish.
In 1875, the company's bold vision for the future of cask ale resulted in the building of a modern new brewery at Southgate Street, replacing the original site. In 2011 we still see cask as central to our business and have recognised the trend for cask ale drinkers to expand their repertoire. Southgate Bitter adds to the Everards range by offering a great session beer and showcases our continued brewing expertise. The logo links back to our heritage by taking the wheatsheaf which featured on the keystone of Southgate Street Brewery.
