Some deliciousBeer and food pairings

Bitters pair superbly with a wide range of foods. Their flavour intensity ensures they’re a brilliant match with classic dishes such as roast lamb or sausage and mash, where the beers sweetness will complement the natural sweetness in the meat. They’ll also complement cheese based foods like macaroni cheese or a Ploughman’s.

Perfect with…

Pork pie, Ploughman’s

Tiger was bornAugust 1972

This local favourite is perfectly balanced, thanks to carefully selected premium British hops and malt.

The Tiger is synonymous with Leicestershire after the Royal Leicestershire Regiment were nicknamed ‘The Tigers’ in 1825 following long service in India. We were very proud to receive special permission from the Colonels of the regiment to use their laurels on our Tiger logo. They are a battle honour given to the regiment by King George III for bravery at the Battle of Princeton in 1777. It’s also the name of our local rugby club, the Leicester Tigers. This is their official beer as it is for many local teams and that’s why our Tiger is roaring!
