We're really pleased to see Brunswick Brewery’s Platform 2b beer has won the gold medal in the ‘lower gravity brown’ category at the Barrow Hill Rail Ale Festival and the guys couldn’t be prouder!
Brewed by assistant brewer Dave, who only started brewing a year ago, this great tasting beer beat off great competition from Timothy Taylor and Stancill Brewery.
Brunswick Brewing Co owner James say’s “Great news for Dave, who is stoked by the award, as are we all. Platform 2b is a golden ale brewed with Munich malt and a big late addition of Mosaic hops from the U.S, and is part of the ‘Engine Shed Project’ range we’re ‘rolling’ out, where we get to play around with different malt/hop combinations and different brewing methods. To get gold at a festival like Rail Ale means a lot, as it’s a brewers choice competition so everyone puts forward their best beers for judging, so we, and especially Dave, are pleased as punch!”
You can find a great range of real ale available on the bar at The Brunswick Inn many brewed on site, so pop in and try a pint of award winning ale! You can find the Brunswick Inn at 1 Railway Terrace, Derby, DE1 2RU.
