Everards Kick Starts 2008 with Awards Success
2008 has got off to a great start for Everards as the Leicestershire based brewery has received nominations for several prestigious awards.
On a regional level, the brewery has been short-listed in three categories of the Leicestershire Business Awards; Enterprise Through Innovation, Success Through People and Contribution to the Community. The awards ceremony takes place on 18 April 2008 at Leicester's De Montfort Hall.
Everards has also received further recognition from the pub and licensed trade by being nominated for Regional Brewer of the Year and also for Pub Company of the Year (tenanted / leased 20 - 200 outlets) in the annual awards run by leading industry publication, The Publican.
This year's nominations follow on from Everards' triumph at The Publican Awards in 2007, when the company was named Pub Company of the Year (leased / tenanted companies with 100 plus outlets). Winners for 2008 will be announced on 18 March at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

"It is great that we've again been nominated by our peers in the pub and brewing industry and it is particularly exciting to also be ‘given the nod' by the Leicestershire business community.
"We're looking forward to attending both awards ceremonies and whether we win or lose, it is an honour and an achievement in itself to be short-listed."
As well as winning The Publican award in 2007, Everards also triumphed in the ‘Best Use of Electronic Media' category in the Society of Independent Brewers' (SIBA) Local Brewery Business Awards in October. Additionally, the company received a ‘highly commended' from the judges in the Best Sponsorship category for its links with Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
