Everards pub in Michelin Guide
A Lincolnshire pub is the first in the Everards estate to be entered into the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2008.
The Collyweston Slater in Collyweston was selected for inclusion in the prestigious handbook by a panel of Michelin assessors, which chose the pub for the quality of its food and service.
The gastro-pub, which reopened in March 2007 following an extensive refurbishment, serves a variety of traditional pub favourites and fresh, locally sourced seasonal dishes as well as a wide range of wines and beers.
Licensee Richard Graham said: "It's a real honour to be included in the Michelin Guide as it is an achievement that is recognised by both the food industry and the general public.
"Since re-opening last year, we have worked incredibly hard to turn the Collyweston Slater into a top eating and drinking venue with local customers and visitors to the area.
"We were also recently included in The Times on Saturday's ‘Top 10 Gastro Pubs' so it's a great birthday present to the Collyweston Slater to see these first signs of recognition on our one year anniversary."
David Bremner, operations director-commercial, added: "There are only 2000 pubs across the UK that are selected for the Michelin Guide so this is a real achievement for the Collyweston Slater and for Everards Brewery."
