New look for the Queens Head

Picture about this news item

The Queens Head in Billesdon was officially re-launched on the 27 May after undergoing a £40,000 makeover.

The 18 month refurbishment project, funded by Everards Brewery and licensees John and Kelly Spencer, has created a new open-plan dining area on the first floor of the pub in addition to an alfresco dining area at the rear of the property.

The pub has also taken on a new chef trained in a Michelin starred restaurant and has introduced a new menu which offers a wide range of contemporary classics using fresh, locally sourced produce wherever possible.

A ‘Sunday Fun Day' was hosted to officially celebrate the re-launch of the new look local, with a hog roast, ‘bucking bronco', bouncy castle and games for customers to enjoy.

John Spencer said: "We've spent a long time refurbishing the Queens Head. The renovated upstairs area has created a lot more dining space which I hope our regulars will like as well as attracting new customers."
