Top marks for the Recruiting Sergeant
The Recruiting Sergeant in Great Gonerby has received a 90.9% in a top industry magazine mystery customer survey.
The Morning Advertiser's new feature ‘Quality Tracker' involves mystery customer visits to 12 pubs every month to look at things such as pub exterior, customer service and toilets.
The Recruiting Sergeant was visited as part of a random selection of rural pubs for the first article in the monthly series.
The comment on the pub was: ‘The most memorable aspect of this pub was its warm and friendly staff. The place had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere and was impeccably clean. I would definitely visit regularly if I lived in the vicinity, especially to eat in the restaurant. The flower and shrub borders at the front were well- kept and tended.'
