Pub Hurdles To Climb Three Peaks
Posted on 9th November 2009
The team comprising of the Everards pub landlord Glenn Hill and friends Tim Prior, Steve Pulley and Ian Burnham ascended the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in 10 hours and five minutes covering a total of 25 miles.
Glenn said: “We’re really pleased with what we achieved, completing the course in under the 12 hour limit was our aim and we succeeded while raising money for a really worthy cause.
“We take part in regular fundraising challenges and last year we completed a triathlon in Scotland. It’s fun and rewarding to do something active which really puts us to the test.”
