Meet Our Winner

Harry whose local is the Hearty Goodfellow in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, was successfully chosen as the winner of Everards Share Your Story & Win competition held in October to mark our 160th anniversary.
Harry, who has been a loyal fan of Everards ales since 1968 entered the competition after being persuaded by his landlord, Steve Hussey of the Hearty Goodfellow. Harry said: “Born in London, I first tried a pint of Original when I moved to Leicester in the late 60’s and instantly became a fan of this great tasting local ale. In all honesty I didn’t think I would win as I’ve never won anything in my life but this has made my year.”
Erika Hardy, Marketing Manager said: “ We would like to thank everyone who has shared their memories and stories with us. We received some great stories throughout the competition and Harry’s story captured everything about our pubs and the people which make them so welcoming and enjoyable.”
