Children Benefit from Charitable Customers

Charitable customers and licensees of Richard III pub in Leicester have delivered a generous donation of toys and gifts to Loughborough based,Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
Licensees Belinda and Bob Shields visited the hospice headquarters to hand over £1,400 worth of gifts after asking hospice workers to put together a ‘wish list’ of what the children could really benefit from.
The money was raised over a six month period at the Everards pub through a bonus ball lottery, raffles and a fundraising ‘Back to School’ night which involved a number of fun competitions and prizes.
Belinda said: “We raise money for Rainbows throughout the year and decided to ask for a wish list so that we could get things the children needed. It also gives us a chance to show our customers what their hard work has achieved.
“We displayed the gifts in the pub before taking them to the hospice and put up thank you letters from the charity so that customers are motivated to continue raising funds that are really well-received by such a deserving charity.”
Kate Golding, Corporate Fundraiser from Rainbows, said: “We really appreciate all the effort that Bob, Belinda and the customers of Richard III have gone to. Everyone at Rainbows would like to say a huge thank you to those who made donations.”
