We're Three Times Publican Pub Company of the Year

Posted on 22nd April 2010

Everards has been crowned ‘Pub Company of the Year’ for the third time in one of the pub industry’s leading annual awards ceremonies.

Hosted at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London, Everards triumphed in the category for tenanted/leased companies with 20 – 199 outlets at the Publican Awards, which recognises excellence across the licensed trade. The company picked up the same title in 2007 and 2008 and was the runner-up for the coveted prize in 2009.

Chairman Richard Everard said: “To win ‘Pub Company of the Year’ at the Publican Awards is a great achievement – winning three times in the last four years is amazing. Our vision is to support great people to run great pubs and to have our efforts recognised by our peers once more is fantastic.

“This award reflects the hard work and commitment of each and every member of staff to assist our licensees, whether through producing top quality ales, providing business support or maintaining Everards pubs to the highest standard.”

The Judges at The Publican said: “Everards is a business that’s really on fire at the moment, with a fantastic financial performance, in depth knowledge of its licensees, a firm set of values and a CSR policy that is part of the company culture.”
