Tigers Take The Premiership Title

Posted on 1st June 2010

It was a game that provided plenty of nail biting, edge of the seat action but it was a late try from Tigers centre forward Dan Hipkiss in the dying minutes that secured a second consecutive Guinness Premiership title victory for Leicester Tigers.

From what is being called one of Leicesters best Premiership finals, the Tigers saw victory over Saracens with the final score cards reading 33-27. The win is Leicesters third title in four years, and their ninth overall, and confirms their status as the most successful club in England.

Richard Cokerill, Head Coach said he was full of pride for his players for lifting the Premiership Crown: “It’s important that the players should take all of the credit for our success. Everyone knows that it is the players who win things.

Erika Hardy, Marketing Manager at Everards said “Our congratulations go out to the entire team and we wish the Tigers the best of luck to do-the-treble next year,”
