Winstanley Welcomes Back Locals With Open Arms

Posted on 5th July 2010

Licensees of the Winstanley Arms Paul and Gaynor Hodges, gave the pub a new lease of life as part of a joint investment with Everards.

Gaynor said: “We wanted to ensure the pub caters for everyone in the local area. The pub has been fully redecorated inside and out and we have added 6 new 42” LCD TVs and a giant screen and with SKY HD. We believe it is now one of the best places to watch sport in the area.

“We have concentrated on our food offering by introducing a carvery server and we have specials on throughout the week. The carvery that runs on Sundays and Thursdays is already proving popular and we also do great offers on steaks on Mondays and Tuesdays, curries on Wednesdays and fish on Fridays.”

The pub will be managed by Dennis and he is looking forward to meeting the customers – old and new.

Locals and staff at the pub were joined by Everards’ chairman Richard Everard for the official reopening.

Richard Everard said: “It was a pleasure to visit the Winstanley Arms and see the fantastic results of the investment. The pub is a shining example of what Everards’ commitment to investing in its estate in partnership with licensees can achieve. Together with our dedicated licensees we are creating pubs the whole community can utilise and be proud of.”
