Old Horse Awarded CAMRA's Pub of the Month
Posted on 17th August 2009
Licensees Kevin and Dee Shepherdson have been running the pub on London Road for 14 years and have always offered a great selection of traditional ales including Everards Sunchaser, Tiger and Beacon.
The title, which was awarded after the pub was nominated by a member of the Leicestershire CAMRA branch, acknowledges the promotion of real ale and consistently high quality beers.
Kevin said: “It is great to be recognised by CAMRA for our continued dedication to real ales. The award makes us stand out against other pubs in our area.
“We are a pub that offers something to everyone, including local students and families, especially with our huge beer garden in the summer.”
The pub is a 19th century coaching inn located 10 minutes from Leicester town centre and holds a quiz night every Tuesday and a karaoke night every Friday.
