Greyhound is 'bloom-in marvelous'

Congratulations to Paul and Tina Stevens of the Greyhound, Burton-on-the-Wolds who after much deliberation, the judges chose the pub as the overall winner of the Spencer Memorial Garden Competition 2009.
The Judges commented:
“the garden was spectacular there wasn’t area of the whole outside of the pub that wasn’t perfect.”
The annual competition involves three stages of judging and this year saw 50 Everards pubs enter. Our congratulations also go to the Aberdale, West Knighton who won the Small Gardens and Patio Areas catergory and the Fox and Goose,Illston-on-the-Hill who won the Hanging Baskets and Window Boxes catergory.
