Location
The pub is situated a short drive from the main A5 and provides excellant access to the nearby towns of Nuneaton and Atherstone. Twycross Zoo, Bosworth Battlefield and Mallory Park are also located nearby. Hartshill is famous for the writer Michael Drayton who knew William Shakespeare. Drayton was born at Chapel Cottage in Hartshill Green in 1563. A school built in Hartshill bears his name and there are a further nine schools within the local area. Nearby is the former Hartshill Quarry which was famous for producing and exporting granite across the country.
