The Anne of Cleves in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, is one of Everards most historic pubs. Part of the property can be dated back to 1327 when it was home to chantry monks. The pub gets its name from one of Henry VIII’s wives: The property was gifted to Anne of Cleves by Henry VIII as part of their divorce settlement.
The building is also rumoured to be haunted, and paranormal investigations have taken place……
