Are you looking for an established pub business with great sales and a very supportive local residential population who view it as an extension of their home? The Cricketers benefits from a strong ‘early-doors’ trade and is the type of pub where local customers can meet friends for a relaxing drink, take their family for lunch or dinner and somewhere to sit back and enjoy watching sport. The Cricketers is the ideal opportunity for someone who has the personality to host regular pub events and the energy to maintain this busy offer.
There are already impressive drink sales at the pub and an opportunity exists to build a great food offer and develop an underutilized function suite enabling you to step straight into a successful pub and make your own mark.
The Opportunity
Sorry but we’ve found a great licensee to run The Cricketers but worry not, click here to see other great opportunities with Everards Brewery Ltd.
The Cricketers has recently been refurbished and it also has its very own function room with a balcony overlooking Leicestershire County Cricket Club. This versatile room offers significant opportunity to develop business generated from events held at the pub. As part of our support, we can work with you to create marketing plan which will help grow your income from the function room.
With the benefit of your experience in running a pub similar to The Cricketers, we want to maintain the current retail offer at the pub and build on its reputation as a great place to enjoy pub sports in order to grow the current food offer. To help you deliver this, we will combine your industry knowledge and the expertise of our Retail Marketing Managers and your Business Development Manager. We can create a full marketing plan which aims at attracting more customers to the pub by implementing a daily home cooked food promotion priced around £5.99 which will support the existing strong drinks sales at The Cricketers. Due to the pubs close proximity to Leicester Football, Cricket and Rugby grounds; we want to establish the pub as a place to enjoy food and drinks for visitors to the area.
Sports and entertainment events are part of this pubs big personality and the local community see the Cricketers as part of the fabric of Aylestone. The business is supported by a strong demand for traditional pub food as well as regular themed food events introduced by the current licensees and have proved to very popular with customers.
