Events at The Final Whistle
1. Weekly quiz every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30pm. Drink voucher and cash prizes. Including ‘Play Your Cards Right’ – half of proceeds going to the Notts, Lincs Air Ambulance Charity.
2. Live Music – Sunday 14th August, 3pm-5.30pm. The Swingbeans are a contemporary Jazz quartet, who are sure to brighten up your Sunday afternoon.
3. Live Music- Sunday 21st August 3pm-6pm. Traditional music session. This group of musicians meet up once a month and play for their own enjoyment, all are welcome to join in. This is the second time this group have played at The Final Whistle, last month approx 30 musicians attended and a great afternoon was had by all.
4. Live Music- Thursday 25th August from 8.30pm. Whisky Bob Shaker returns for another night of great music. Due to popular demand, this will be the fifth time he’s played at The Final Whistle. If you’ve not seen him yet, make sure you don’t miss out this time.
5. Live music – Wednesday 21st September from 8.00pm. The Ghost of Mansfield Morris, are session musicians, who choose the best ‘real ale’ pubs in the region and meet up once a month and play for their own enjoyment. They play a mix of folk and contempory folk music. This is the second time in 3 months they’ve asked to come to The Final Whistle, last time was just brilliant and we’re delighted they’ve chosen to return so quickly.
6. Beer Festival- Starts 6pm Thursday 22nd September through to Sunday 25th.
A total of 22 different beers. 10 of the Champion and award winning beer from the 2011 Great Bristish Beer Festival. Plus 12 Champion beers from previous years. Live music each night and a BBQ at the weekend (subject to weather).
