The Horse & Trumpet is very much a local landmark in the town of Wigston, south of Leicester City Centre. The pub has a longstanding reputation for a great cask ale range and regular live entertainment. The pub offers excellent scope to build upon the current food and drink offer to a wide range of customers. This is a prime opportunity for someone who can bring their industry experience running community pubs in order to develop this established pub business.
The Opportunity
With a reputation as one of the best local pubs in Wigston, the Horse & Trumpet is renowned for its great ales and lively entertainment. There is lots of potential to build on its ale sales, develop and focus on its pub teams and events and to expand its good value food offer that caters for a broad range of customers.
We are looking for someone with a real desire to make a difference and build on the already strong sense of community. Ideally the successful candidate would be a motivated, ‘hands on’ operator with excellent customer service and food skills and the ability to integrate fully into the community. The role of licensee is quite simply to place the Horse & Trumpet at the heart of the community.
With a proven record of success and a real passion for the industry, if you are the the right candidate, Everards Brewery will make a financial investment to refurbish the pub.
