Training

At Everards we believe that the right training is paramount to running a successful business. We know that everyone has different skills, qualifications and past experiences with different training needs which is why we work with you to create a personalised training plan. We are proud to have received Investors in People Gold accreditation in 2011 and 90% of our licensees feel that our training is good or very good*

Through our Everards Experience programme we offer a host of one day workshops to help you comply with current legislation and provide you with critical information and knowledge to help you firmly establish and grow your business in areas such as building sales, finance, employment law and first aid.

All our courses are either BII accredited or have been developed by our team of qualified professionals with extensive experience of the hospitality industry.

  • BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)
  • Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene
  • BIIAB Award in Beer & Cellar Quality
  • Employment Law
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Financial Skills
  • Health & Safety
  • Introduction to Online Marketing
  • Managing Staff
  • Recruitment & Selection
  • Sales Building

Training is a valuable use of your time and money. It not only protects you legislatively but can also ensure a more productive and therefore profitable workforce.

In addition to training courses on site, we have recently launched e-learning to ensure that you and your team are adequately trained in all areas of compliance and other softer skills. The time required to complete e-learning courses is relatively short and they can be accessed at any time from any Internet connected computer with the option to pause and return to where you left off. The system also provides a complete training record for every individual in your pub.

Prior to taking an Everards pub, our Training Manager will meet with you to complete a training needs analysis to create your individual training plan. You will also need to demonstrate that you have completed the BII Pre-Entry Awareness (PEAT) course before we are able to offer you an agreement. Find out more about PEAT course by clicking Pre-Entry Awareness Training

All our courses are run at the Everards Academy Training Centre at the Brewery and are also available to members of your staff wishing to develop new skills. The cost of the courses include all your training materials, certification fees and lunch (for full day courses only)

If you would like further details on any of our courses, please contact our training team at training@everards.co.uk
