The pub sits on the lock and is popular with boaters passing by as well as those moored more permanently up the road in Braunstone Marina. The accommodation features three good sized double bedrooms, a private roof terrace area, a modern fitted kitchen diner and a well proportioned living room - the best thing though is the views out of the dual aspect rooms across the rolling fields and over the canal.

The Marina is minutes away from the pub and brings lots of trade to the pub. Both are ideally located for the canal enthusiast.
It lies at the crossroads of the Grand Union and Oxford canals, and indeed of the whole waterways. The opportunities for exploration are near limitless.
The Marina itself is easily located by road lying beside the A45 between Daventry and Rugby. It is only 20 minutes from junction 16 on the M1, under an hour from Birmingham, and two hours from London.
Braunston Marina is steeped in history. It was originally developed at the turn of the 19th century as the waterways depot at the northern end of what was then called the Grand Junction Canal where it joined up with the Oxford Canal. Several original buildings from the Georgian and early Victorian periods are still in their intended use. The Marina's entrance is dominated by the very fine Horsley Iron Works cast iron bridge dating from 1834, erected by Thomas Telford. Read more here...

"You'd be hard pushed to find a more beautiful setting to live and work in. The community here are very supportive of the pub. There is always an interesting mix of clientele, from our regulars to the holiday makers. We came into this pub as complete novices - we weren't even sure how to pull a pint! We've had some great times here and put on some great events making memories and we leave it now as a pub with a great reputation and a quality offer."
