Stamford Arms

2 Leicester Road, Groby, LE6 0DJ

About this opportunity

The Stamford Arms is a beautiful and popular pub in the heart of Groby, in Leicestershire.

Once home to the Everard family, it is currently run by business owner Brian Rigby and his team. Brian has been at the pub for over 10 years and after 25 years in the trade is ready for a new challenge and to pass the Stamford onto someone who can love it as much as he has.

The Stamford Arms provides a fantastic opportunity to take on a solid and well-established business, with exceptional trading space. There is a huge sense of community within the pub, and it is well supported by the locals who enjoy visiting for great food, drink and events.

Last year, the pub was awarded CAMRA County Pub of the Year 2020 in recognition of its drinks offer and fine surroundings.

This pub really does offer something for everyone and attracts families, professionals, the young at heart, couples and those looking for a great vibe on a night out. It offers a full and exciting hot and cold drinks range, high-end pub food including fresh pizzas from the dedicated pizza oven and a calendar of popular and well-attended events, which have included carol services, bonfire nights and many well-supported charity events. It successfully operates throughout the day and seven days a week.

Inside you will find a large L shaped bar and seating area that leads through to a generous restaurant area including the pizza oven. Regular events are held in this space including darts, singers, bands and much more!

The outside space only enhances the inside offer, with a lovely patio that now includes beautiful wooden, heated dining pods, and a pop-up bar and kitchen serving freshly prepared food.

This is a busy community pub with high expectations from its customers. This will suit someone who is ready to get hands-on and throw themselves into the wonderful village life and community of Groby and all the joy that brings. Knowledge of how food businesses work would be a great advantage, as would a passion to keep the community entertained through events, occasions, and charity support.
