Leicester drinkers help raise £1,400 for local charity
This huge amount was raised for Leicester charity New Dawn, New Day by Everards customers drinking limited edition beer suffragette.
Fresh from our small batch brewery at Everards Meadows is our hop forward 4x4 Session IPA with its bold citrus character. IPA's are the most recognisable beer style and our version is lower in strength than a classic IPA, meaning it's a great option for an afternoon down the pub with your mates.
Our brew team love session IPA’s as they give full on flavour and refreshment but at a lower strength. This is our most special recipe to date – loaded with four hops, our brewers have cleverly used these in four different ways to deliver a beer packed with a knockout flavour and aroma!
Azacca, an American hop is a perfect choice as an early addition, due to its high alpha acids, contributing mainly to our beer’s bitterness.
At the end of the boiling process, we’ve added Citra, a popular hop which contributes to the remaining bitterness and begins to build a rounded citrussy aroma.
During fermentation we pour two more varieties in.
In the fermenter, we’ve dry-hopped with two varieties. On day one, Nelson Sauvin was dropped in to the fermenter, allowing the tropical notes to be showcased giving wonderfully complex, fruity aromas with English Goldings added right at the end to bring the rawness of the hop aroma, giving a hint of the traditional floral and herby notes to 4 x 4’s fruit and citrus forward character.
Brewed on our small batch brewery at Everards Meadows, this beer is super limited (only 11 casks have been brewed!), and is on the bar in the Beer Hall. Try a pint whilst you can and make sure to let us know what you think!
We will have a few available in minicask, so follow us on social to see when they are released.
