£1,490 transforms space in church
The church has invested in a new meeting area to be used by mothers & toddlers, the elderly and the local community for social gatherings, occasional meetings and coffee mornings.
September has seen many awards come in for lots of our pubs, so raise a glass and give them a cheers with us to say well done!
September has been a great month for many of our pubs with awards popping up all over the place!
We also had the priviledge of fulfilling the prize 14 business owners won back in April this year at our Make a Difference awards, of an all inclusive trip to Florence, on which one of our business owners proposed to their other half - she said yes!!
Pubs have been awarded this month for their expertise in looking after their drinks range, gardens and bussiness in general. We know our business owners and their pubs are deserving of many more awards - so well done to everyone for offering a great experience this month and always!
In particular, we'd like to say a huge well done to Sam Hagger (Business owner of The Forge, The Knight and Garter, The Rutland & Derby and most recently King Richard III) who took away Businessman of the Year at the Niche awards.
A huge well done to Alan and Philippe (Business owners at The Brunswick Inn) who were voted Best pub in the United Kingdom for cider at the Great British Pub Awards!
Finally, another well done to Tina and Paul from the Greyhound Inn who won The Spencer Memorial Garden competition for the fourth year!
