British pubs and publicans have been at the heart of their local communities for centuries, meeting social needs and bringing people together. Now, new research has revealed just how much social value they actually provide.

This report by Pub is The Hub has found that for every £1 invested in pub-based services and activities, an average of £8.28 in social value is generated.

The report also shows that pubs play a key role in reducing social isolation and helping to replace lost services in rural and disadvantaged areas.
