The Bull

The Bull is a Grade II listed building located in Market Deeping, Peterborough. It has a rich history dating back to the early 17th Century and is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, thanks to its historic charm and character. The pub boasts an 18th-century carriage arch and is situated in a central location next to the town hall and two shopping precincts, attracting a steady flow of visitors.

When you step inside, you are welcomed with a warm and cosy atmosphere, complete with black wooden beams and a fireplace, adding to the traditional pub feel. The building is divided into four areas, including a bar area and a restaurant, a sports room with a pool table, and a cellar bar with its own serving point. There is also a good commercial kitchen, perfect for preparing classic pub favourites.

Outside, there are two spacious areas. The courtyard space has its own stables bar servery, ample seating, and sheltered space. Through the old carriage arch, the garden opens up, featuring a children's play area, large, grassed area, and a shelter that can be used as an outdoor bar, food service area, additional seating or a stage for entertainment. With such an extensive garden, the pub has been known to host well-attended community-focused events in the summer.

The pub is home to pool, darts and dominos teams and hosts a successful monthly quiz and bingo night that is enjoyed by locals.

Market Deeping is situated on the river Welland and is the largest settlement in the Deepings with town status. It is also a short drive to Peterborough, Bourne and Sleaford. The town is known for its stone buildings dating back to the 17th century and has a market that has been held since at least 1220.

Just a short 10-minute drive from the Bull Inn is the beautiful nature reserve and Deeping Lakes, which are popular among nature enthusiasts and tourists. The town has its own primary school and is close to Deepings secondary school.
