Supported by The Everard Family Foundation and CarlingEverards Community Excellence Fund
Do you know a community project that needs funding? You can help!
Many of you have helped your communities in the last year, in so many innovative ways and this is our way of helping you to continue that support within your communities by accessing some funding generously donated by The Everard Family Foundation and Carling.
Do you know those ideas that are sparked over a chilled pint between two friends? The ones that could really make a positive change in your local community? Have you ever wanted to help make it happen, but didn’t know how? Our Community Excellence Fund is our way of helping make those ideas and community projects come to life!
From revamping the local community centre to organising a litter pick - All you have to do is encourage your customers and community to nominate a project in your local area - or nominate one yourself - that would benefit up to £4,000 in funding and they will be entered into the judging process where we select projects from within a 20-mile radius of an Everards pub and turn them into a reality.
Nominations are opening in two weeks time on the 5th of April and we really hope you will help us spread the word via your social platforms to enable to support as many projects as we can!
There a few guidelines that nominated projects need to adhere to in order to be eligible to apply. We have supported some fab projects in previous years and with this increased amount of funding, we can't wait to see what we can all achieve together this year!
It is essential all nominations follow these guidelines;
- Keep it about the community. We want to help with problems that need fixing outside of the pub and in the wider community.
- The nomination should enable sociability. We want to be as inclusive as possible. Your idea should benefit more than just a few people and benefit as many of the wider community as possible.
- Make sure your nomination is a tangible project. We can’t just give a monetary donation to a local cause.
- Make sure the audience is right for Everards and Carling. We cannot support projects that primarily or solely directly benefit children due to the association of our alcoholic brands.
- The projects we support need to benefit the local Everards community & therefore be within 20 miles of an Everards pub.
- Nominations must be from an established group and/or charity or local church.
- Each project can apply for funding of up to a maximum of four thousand pounds (£4,000) only.
- 8. Projects will be selected based on four main criteria:
- Level of community impact; how much beneficial change will the project create in the local area?
- Level of community need: is there a strong need for the project to happen?
- Timeframe: can it be completed within a three-month period?
- Attainability: how achievable is it to complete this project?
We will continue to share this and we will put social assets on myEverards to help you to share too.
