The idea of the brasserie was to create an additional and more modern space where people can enjoy a good night out with quality food or a relaxed catch-up over a properly roasted coffee, all on their doorstep. I shared my vision with Everards, and they were so supportive in bringing it to life.”

Everards of Leicestershire and Business Owner Malcolm invested £105k in the scheme and, working alongside the Everards property team, Malcolm also got to work using local tradespeople to bring the brasserie to life in just six weeks and in time for Christmas.

The fantastic new brasserie has a modern urban style and is open 8.30 am to 5 pm for the coffee shop, takeaway and deli then the lights dim down for evening dinner service.

Throughout the day customers can enjoy great coffee, breakfast, light bites and sweet treats. As the evening draws in and the lights dim, it provides the perfect place to dine on a menu of English French cuisine which includes classics such as Moules Mariniere, beef bourguignon, cassoulet and English classics such as butchers sausage and mash, homemade pies and the signature tiger fish and chips.

And, the deli is stocked with homemade pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs and lots more, most of which are produced on-site using locally sourced meat and ingredients.

“I couldn’t be happier with how the brasserie has turned out. It’s a great venue and is also perfect for private events and functions. We are over the moon to already have our first wedding reception booked in and our Christmas day lunch is filling up fast. It’s looking like a busy time ahead.” shares Malcolm

“We are delighted to be investing with Malcolm,” said Martin Bailey, Business Development Manager at Everards.

“Helping to bring his vision for this great pub to life. Since taking on the business he has breathed new life into The Beacon and created a great pub for his community.

The addition of the Beacon Brasserie brings something new and different, providing locals with a quality coffee and dining spot on their doorstep that previously they would have had to travel into the town centre for.

We wish Malcolm all the best on this new venture, we know he will do great!”
